How to Play Teen Patti Online

The following steps are based on Teen Patti by Ezugi, the most popular Teen Patti cash game.
Step 1: Decide how much money you want to bet
The game starts with betting, so you have to decide what will be your Ante bet. You can choose from seven different coin sizes: 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500, and 1K.
Apart from the regular bets, you can also decide to place side bets. The side bets available include Pair or Better and 3+3 Bonus.
You will be given ten seconds to make your bet. A timer will be shown on the screen to help you see how many seconds you have left to bet.
Step 2: Wait for the dealer to deal the cards
After your bet has been placed, the next step is the dealing of cards. The dealer gives you three cards in total. All the cards are faced up.
The dealer also deals three cards (faced down) for herself.
Once the cards have been dealt, you have to choose whether to continue or quit the game.
Step 3: Click “Play” or “Fold” on the screen
You will find two buttons on the screen. The green one is for “Play” while the red button is “Fold”.
If you decide to continue playing, you will have to place the play bet. This play bet is twice the ante you placed previously.
Once you click on the green “Play” button, the play bet is deducted automatically.
Step 4: Check the result
The dealer turns her cards face up. With this, you can compare the cards and see who wins. The computer will do this automatically.
If you have a better card-hand than the dealer, you win the game. But if your card-hand has a lower value, the dealer wins. You can also win if your side bet turns out correct.

Teen Patti Cash Side Bets
When you play Teen Patti cash you can place side bets. Side bets are additional bets apart from the regular bets placed. They give you the opportunity to win even if you lose the regular bets. Not all Teen Patti cash games allow you to make side bets. You can find the available types of side bets explained below.
Pair or Better
This side bet is also referred to as P+ or Pair +. It requires you to bet on whether the selected cards will be a pair or better. You must place this bet before the dealer begins to deal the cards.
In Teen Patti cash, it depends only on your card hand. You bet on yourself to get the pair+. Once you get it, you win and get your payout according to the paytable.
This side bet is different when the game isn’t against the dealer but between Player A and Player B. You can bet on either Player A or Player B to have the Pair+. You can also bet that both players will have pair or better.
3+3 Bonus
This type of side bet is also known as the 6 card bonus. The three best cards from each side are used to create a five-card poker hand. This bet must also be placed before the cards are dealt.
When you play against the dealer, the best three cards from both you and the dealer are used. If you’re playing against another player, the best three-card hands from each player are used.
The best three-card hand from both sides will be used to create a strong poker hand. The stronger the hand, the higher the payout you get. It will be ranked with the rules of Poker. I have written more on payouts in the next section of this guide.
Tie
Here, you bet that player A and player B will get the same cards. It is only available when playing against players and not the dealer. The payout for the Tie side bet is 50:1.

Live Teen Patti by Ezugi
Live Teen Patti is a live dealer version of Teen Patti cash streamed from Ezugi’s gaming studio in Romania. It is hosted by a friendly and professional dealer who controls the game from the table.
In Live Teen Patti by Ezugi, you play against the dealer. Three cards are dealt to you and three cards are dealt to the dealer. To win you need to have a better hand than the dealer.

One Day Teen Patti
One Day Teen Patti was released mid-year 2021 and is the third version of Teen Patti cash by Ezugi. The game is streamed from Romania.
Here you will guess whether Player A or Player B will have the best hand, just like in Bet on Teen Patti. The difference is that you can change your bets in six betting rounds. Each betting round represent a new card dealt.
You will start by placing your first bet, before looking at any of the card. The dealer will start by dealing one card to Player A. The dealer will then deal one new card alternately to Player B and Player A. Before each new card has been dealt you can place a new bet.
Another feature of One Day Teen Patti is the back and lay exchange betting model. This means that you can back a bet and predict which player will win. You can also lay a bet and predict that one of the two players won’t win.

Straight Flush – A straight flush is when 3 cards are placed in the same order of suits. The highest straight run is A-K-Q. The lowest straight run is the following ranking: 4,3,2.
Trio – A trio is 3 cards that are in the same rank. 3 Aces is the highest. 3 twos are the lowest
Straight – A straight is when 3 cards are in a row but in different suits. The highest-ranking is: A,K, Q. The lowest ranking is 4,3,2.
Color – A colour or flush is 3 cards with the same colour. The cards do no need to form a sequence.
Pair – A pair is 2 cards that are in a similar rank. The lowest pair is 2-2-3 and the highest is A-A-K.
High Card – The high card ranking is used if you have 3 different cards and neither of the combinations above. Then the highest card is the one that counts.
Is Teen Patti Cash Legal?
Yes. It is legal to play Teen Patti cash as long as you do it in an online casino. Even if you play from India. However, it’s illegal to play Teen Patti in land-based casino in India.
According to the Public Gambling Act of 1867 only games of skill are legal to play with money. Currently Teen Patti is classified as a game of chance, just like Andar Bahar. That’s why it’s illegal to play Teen Patti for money in an establishment located inside of Indian territory.

Teen Patti Rules
The rules in this section apply when you play Teen Patti with your friends or at physical casinos. The rules of Teen Patti go like this:
- It is played by 3 to 6 persons, using 52 cards without jokers
- All players must place an agreed Ante bet
- A dealer is selected randomly among the players. The selected dealer deals three cards to each player face down in an anti-clockwise direction
- After the cards are dealt, players decide whether to play or fold.
- If you fold, you have to throw in your cards and forfeit the boot amount. Then you wait until the next round to play again.
- If you choose to play, you’ll have to decide whether you will play Chaal or Blind. I have explained more about Chaal and Blind in the next section.
- You win that game round if you have a better card hand than every other player. You can also win if all other players fold except you.
- If more than two players remain till the end, there will be a show.

Chaal and Blind Betting Explained
If you do not fold after the cards are dealt, you must either play Chaal or Blind. Once you make a decision, you can no longer change it until the next betting round.
Blind – Playing blind is deciding not to see your cards. When you choose this, you make another bet, which is at least the current ante. You can bet higher than the ante, but it must not be more than twice of it.
Example: If the ante is ₹20, the minimum bet you can place is ₹20. You can not place more than a bet of ₹40.
Chaal – Playing chaal means deciding to see your cards. If you choose this, you have to place at least double the current bet placed by the blind players. But you cannot place more than four times the amount.
Example: If the blind players place a ₹20 bet, the minimum you can place is ₹40, and the maximum is ₹80.
Show Explained
There will have to be a show when there are only two players left in the game. One of the players will ask for the show and they will both reveal their cards. The rules for show depend is the players are playing blind or chaal, as explained in the different scenarios below:
If both are playing blind
If the remaining two are blind players, any of them can ask for the show. Before the show occurs, they both have to wager the current bet amount again. After betting, they reveal their cards and see who wins.
If one is playing blind and the other is playing Chaal
When only one of the two is a blind player, only that player can request a show. A chaal player cannot ask a blind player for a show. Chaal players can only continue to bet or fold when the other player is blind.
After the blind player asks the chaal player for a show, they must make additional bets. The blind player bets the current bet amount while the chaal player wagers twice the current bet amount. Then, they show their cards to see the winner.
If both are playing Chaal
If both players are chaal, any of them can request for a show. They will both have to wager twice the current bet amount. After the bet, they show their cards.
In all cases, the player with the best card hand wins after the show. If both players have equal hands, the one who asked for the show loses. The winner becomes the dealer in the next game round.
Example of a Show
Let’s say players A, B, C, and D are playing Teen Patti. After the four players place the ante of ₹5, the game continues. In the next betting round, players A and B decide to play blind and bet ₹5. At the same time, players C and D go chaal and bet ₹10.
In the next betting round, player A plays blind again while B looks at the card and folds. Player C also folds while chaal player D continues chaal. In the next round, player A, places a bet of ₹10, and asks for a show.
Players A and D will show their cards and the best card hand will win. If the card hands are equal, player A loses.
Compromise Explained
Compromise is also known as a sideshow. It can only be requested after everyone has placed the ante bet and the game has begun. When it is your turn to make another bet, you can ask the previous player for a compromise. But you can only do this if you’re a Chaal player and if the previous person is also playing Chaal.
You have to place the current bet of the previous player first. Then, the player can choose to accept or reject the compromise. If the player rejects, the game round continues as usual. But if the player accepts, there is a sideshow.
In the sideshow, the two of you must compare your cards privately. The person with the lowest ranking hand has to fold. If both card hands are equal, the one who asked for the compromise loses.
Example of a Compromise
Considering the previous example where players A, B, C, and D participated. In the first betting round after the ante, player D can ask player C for a compromise during his turn. If C agrees, they show their cards privately and the one with the lower hand folds. If both cards are equal, player D must fold.
In case player C rejects the compromise, the game continues. It will become player A’s turn to bet again.
Teen Patti Variations
There are many different variations to Online Teen Patti, even if they are very similar to each other. Below, I have explained the most common Teen Patti variations.
Joker
There can be 2 joker cards in Teen Patti. Both of these 2 cards can be used as wild cards.
Best of Four
Best of Four uses 4 cards instead of 3. All other rules are the same
AK47
Aces, Kings,4s and 7s are wild cards. This game is played with 2-10 players.
Mufliss (Lowball)
Mufliss is when the ranking of the cards are reversed. In this game the lowest, instead of the highest hand, wins.
Wild Draw
A wild Draw means that the dealer, after dealing the cards, draw a random card from the remaining deck of cards. Every card of the same rank will be a wild card.
Two-lowest Wild
In this game every player plays with 4 cards, instead of 3. The 2 lowest cards in any hand are considered wild cards.
High Wild
A high wild means that the 2 highest-ranking cards in a hand becomes wild cards.
Bust Card Draw
This means that a dealer draws a random card from the deck of cards. Any player who has the random card has to fold their cards.
Stud
Stud is when a player receives a combination of cards that are face down and face up.
Community
Community means that a player is dealt a hand with incomplete face down cards. As well as a random amount of ace up community cards which are placed on the center of the table.
Draw
A draw is when a player gets a complete hand of cards. The players are allowed to discard any card and get new cards from the dealer.
Cobra
Cobra means that every player is dealt 1 card. Then each player puts a bet amount in the pot that is pre-decided.
After that, each player puts his or her cards on their foreheads without looking at the cards. You can look at the cards from other players, but you can not look at your own cards. You then decide if you want to play if you think you are the player with the highest card.
Kaana King and Jack
You and all other players get 3 or 4 cards. Any kings or jacks that have a side profile and only one eye visible are a Wild card. Example: Kind of Diamonds, Jack of Spades.
Kiss-Miss-Bliss
This means that every player gets 5 cards. You can then select 3 wild joker cards from any of your 5 cards.
Kiss is cards in a row according to numbers, example A,2 or J,Q. Miss is a pair of hands that is left to create a row of cards, example A,3 or 8,10. Bliss is when 2 cards have the same numbers, e.g A,A or 4,4
High-low Split
A high low split means that a pot is split between players who have the best high hand and the player with the low hand.
